In partnership with the University of Toronto Continuing School of Studies, City High School provides a joint curriculum for incoming non- English speaking students. City High School works hand in hand with the English Language Program to offer an alternative option to students who need to receive proof of English proficiency for university admission.

 

The Academic English Program aims at strengthening reading, writing, listening and oral communication in English in order to improve the student’s likelihood for admission to the University of Toronto or other English-language universities or colleges. In addition, it intends to build the student’s confidence in order to excel in an academic environment.

Through providing the opportunity for students to participate in this joint program, students are geared towards post secondary success by gaining an Academic English certificate while simultaneously completing the OSSD.
